What does Scorelian do?
Scorelian Holding Ltd is a Nairobi-based business transformation company. It operates Scorelian Business Solutions, our consultancy (recruitment, HR outsourcing, payroll, compliance, training, business set-up and advisory), and Nexalia Technologies, our technology brand (Nexalia HCM, POS, Expense and Sales, plus websites and custom systems). We help organisations across East Africa grow through people, systems and technology.
Where are you located?
We are headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya (Mofarm Road, Utawala) and serve clients in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Our HR and technology teams support clients on site and remotely.
How do I get started?

What is the difference between Scorelian Business Solutions and Nexalia?
Scorelian Business Solutions is the consultancy: the people who advise you and run HR and payroll for you. Nexalia Technologies builds the software and digital systems, including Nexalia HCM, which our team uses to run your HR and payroll. Both are brands of Scorelian Holding Ltd.
Services and pricing
What does recruitment cost?
Standard and professional roles start from KES 15,000 per role, executive and senior roles from KES 50,000, and existing Scorelian clients (managed and retainer) from KES 10,000 per role. A starting fee covers up to two stages of an assignment, and roles that need more stages are priced above it. We agree the price in writing before we start.
What is included in HR outsourcing?
HR administration, employee records, onboarding and leave management, employee relations guidance, performance management support, HR compliance reviews and ongoing advisory. Retainers start from KES 15,000 a month. Managed People and Payroll adds payroll and runs everything on Nexalia from KES 1,000 to 1,600 per employee a month (depending on team size), with a KES 10,000 monthly minimum. Are your prices final?
They are starting prices in Kenya Shillings. We confirm a formal quotation before any work begins. Government fees, third-party costs and statutory payments are remitted at cost and are not part of our fee. See the pricing page.
Can you register my company?
Yes. We register business names (KES 8,000 to 15,000), private limited companies (KES 25,000 to 40,000) and NGOs, trusts and societies (KES 45,000 to 90,000), and offer a full set-up package (KES 35,000 to 70,000). Government fees are extra.
Do you offer websites and software?
Yes, through Nexalia Technologies: Nexalia HCM, POS, Expense and Sales, business websites, custom ERP and integrations. See nexalia.co.ke for details and prices.
Payroll and compliance
What are the current NSSF rates in Kenya?
From February 2026 (NSSF Act 2013, Year 4), Tier I is 6% of the first KES 9,000 of pay (up to KES 540) and Tier II is 6% of pay between KES 9,000 and KES 108,000 (up to KES 5,940), from both employee and employer.
What are the SHIF and Housing Levy rates?
SHIF is 2.75% of gross pay, with a minimum of KES 300 and no upper cap. The Affordable Housing Levy is 1.5% from the employee and a matching 1.5% from the employer. NSSF, SHIF and the Housing Levy are deducted before PAYE is worked out.
Is there a free payroll calculator?
Yes. The Kenya payroll calculator on nexalia.co.ke is free and uses 2026 rates for PAYE, NSSF, SHIF and the Housing Levy, with take-home pay, gross-up from net pay and employer cost. We also offer five business calculators on this site.
Do you promise guaranteed results or compliance?
No. Outcomes depend on your business, your people and how the work is applied, and we do not promise automatic compliance: you remain responsible for approvals and statutory decisions. What we commit to is how we work: named people, clear scope and price first, honest recommendations, plain-language reporting, care with your information and realistic claims.
What does payroll outsourcing cost?
KES 300 to 500 per employee a month depending on scope, with a KES 5,000 monthly minimum. A one-time setup fee from KES 5,000 is charged separately. Managed People and Payroll is from KES 1,000 to 1,600 per employee a month and adds HR support and Nexalia access. Statutory payments are remitted at cost.
Who checks the payroll you run for us?
Every Scorelian-managed payroll run is reviewed by our Regional Finance Manager. You approve each payroll and remain responsible for approvals and statutory decisions.
Hiring and careers
How do I apply for a job on your site?
Open the Careers page, find a role and choose Apply. Fill in your details, answer the questions and attach your CV as a PDF (up to 5 MB). You can also follow our WhatsApp jobs channel to hear about new roles as they open.
Can I submit my CV even if there is no matching role?
Yes. Send it to our talent pool by WhatsApp or to talent@scorelian.com. We share profiles with our client network across East Africa.
Can I advertise a vacancy?
Yes. Employers can post a vacancy on the shared jobs board and collect CVs with their own application form. It is free during our launch period. We can also recruit for you.
Nexalia
What is Nexalia HCM?
Nexalia HCM is our human capital management platform: employee records, recruitment, onboarding, payroll with Kenya statutory deductions, leave, attendance, performance, learning, succession planning, self-service and HR analytics, across four editions.
Can I try it before I buy?
Yes. Demos are given on request on nexalia.co.ke, and there is a free 30-day pilot for your first 20 employees on any edition.

How do you handle my information?
We handle personal data under the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, and use it only for the purpose you gave it. You can ask to access, correct or delete your data at any time by emailing info@scorelian.com. See our Privacy Policy.
