HR advisory retainers
Think of it as your outsourced HR department, at a fraction of the cost of a full-time team.

The retainer provides ongoing HR advisory, policy and documentation support, employee relations guidance, HR compliance reviews, recruitment advisory, performance management support, HR administration and regular HR reviews. Specialist assignments, extensive recruitment exercises, training programmes and other services outside the agreed scope are quoted separately. Fees are starting points and can be negotiated. Organisations under 10 employees are scoped individually. HR setup work such as HR foundation setup (from KES 45,000) or policies (from KES 25,000) is charged separately from the retainer.
Compared with hiring in-house. A full-time HR officer commonly costs KES 30,000 to 50,000 a month in salary alone, before employer statutory contributions, leave cover, software and training. One Scorelian HR consultant supports several organisations, so you get a named HR adviser at a share of that cost: from KES 15,000 a month for up to 10 employees and from KES 35,000 for 26 to 50.
Choose your package
Three ways to buy HR support from Scorelian Business Solutions, depending on who runs payroll and what else you need, or one flat fee per employee.
Option A: HR advisory and payroll managed by Scorelian
We advise you and run your monthly payroll. You approve, we process, and statutory deductions are calculated and prepared for filing each month. You remain responsible for approvals. From KES 20,000 a month.
Option B: HR advisory, payroll run by you
A named HR adviser and practical support for people matters, while you keep payroll in-house or run it yourselves on Nexalia. From KES 15,000 a month. You can switch any time.
Option C: Complete People Package
HR advisory, payroll managed by Scorelian, recruitment for up to two roles in 12 months (billed as KES 1,700 a month) and Nexalia HCM Business (KES 250 per employee), in one monthly fee. From KES 22,950 a month. Executive and senior roles are not included and start from KES 50,000.
Prefer one flat fee per employee?
Managed People and Payroll is one fee per employee that includes HR support, payroll and Nexalia: KES 1,500 per employee a month for the first 25 employees, KES 1,200 to 1,600 each for 26 to 50 and KES 1,000 to 1,300 each for 51 to 100, depending on scope, with a KES 10,000 monthly minimum. Nexalia HCM is included in every package. A one-time setup fee from KES 10,000 is charged separately, and add-ons are charged separately. Larger teams are quoted.

The fee covers HR and employee management (records, onboarding into Nexalia, leave, day-to-day HR support and advisory, employee relations guidance, performance support, HR documentation and periodic HR reviews), payroll (monthly processing, PAYE, NSSF, SHIF and Housing Levy, reports and records) and Nexalia HCM access, which is included in every package. At KES 1,500 per employee the fee is made up of payroll (KES 450), Nexalia HCM (KES 250) and HR support (KES 800). Setup is a one-time fee charged separately. Recruitment assignments, attendance hardware and every other add-on are priced separately. The standard fee is designed around Nexalia Business capability; Enterprise-level needs are quoted separately.
Payroll outsourcing
Scorelian runs your monthly payroll, with PAYE, NSSF, SHIF and Housing Levy calculated and prepared for filing. You approve, we process.

A starting fee covers up to two stages of an assignment, for example sourcing and shortlisting, then interviews and offer. Roles that need more stages, such as writing the job description, assessments or background checks, are priced above the starting fee. Recruitment on demand packages are available for regular hiring needs.

Scope is a defined number of systems, business units and workflows. Security testing, penetration testing, specialist regulatory opinions and extensive technical code reviews need separately scoped, qualified specialists. Audits can be bought alone or combined with implementation or training.

For businesses that want professional HR support without building a large in-house HR department. Scorelian delivers the human services and Nexalia provides the technology that supports the work.
Price: custom monthly quotation, based on employee count, HR support requirements and payroll complexity. We do not show a flat price because HR support and recruitment workloads vary. Indicative prices are subject to final approval and confirmation of delivery costs.
Recruitment: the number of assignments included in the monthly fee, if any, is stated in your quotation. Additional placements are charged separately unless otherwise agreed. Advertising, assessments and background checks are confirmed in advance. On-site visits, extra advisory hours and complex payroll or corrections are defined in the service agreement and may be charged separately.

Are there setup fees, and what counts as an add-on?
Yes. Setup is a one-time fee, charged separately from the monthly price: payroll setup from KES 5,000, Managed People and Payroll from KES 10,000 and Nexalia HCM implementation from KES 5,000. It covers moving your records across, configuring payroll rules and training your team. Add-ons are anything outside the package, such as recruitment, attendance devices, SMS or WhatsApp, payment or bank integrations, extra payroll groups or entities, custom reports, training and HR projects. Each is quoted before work begins.
Can I switch between packages?
Yes. You can move between HR advisory, payroll and Managed People and Payroll as your team grows. Your records stay on the same system, so you do not start again.
Do prices include tax?
Applicable taxes are confirmed in the formal quotation. Government fees, third-party fees and statutory payments are remitted at cost.
Where are software and website prices?
At nexalia.co.ke, because software, websites and custom systems are provided by Nexalia Technologies.
Can prices be negotiated?
HR advisory and package fees are starting points and can be negotiated. Long-term contracts attract discounts.
